Oklahoma Converting to New Licensing
System
Please be advised that the Oklahoma
Insurance Department will be converting to a
new web-based licensing system the week of
April 23, 2007. The conversion process with
NIPR will commence Monday, April 23, 2007
through April 29, 2007.
During this time, the state will not
process electronic transactions sent through
the NIPR Gateway. The last transaction file
will be accepted April 10, 2007 for
processing. All transactions will be
rejected until new license numbers are
established at the state on April 24th, and
then all transactions will be kept in
"Awaiting Validation" status. If
transactions are submitted with the old
license number, they will be rejected when
normal business resumes.
Oklahoma posted the following bulletin
concerning the licensing numbers:
As of April 24 all active licenses will
be converted to a newly assigned single
License Number. Following the implementation
of our new technology system, you will
receive a paper license reflecting your
license type, lines of authority and your
new license number. These new licenses will
be generated and mailed to all licensees
during the month of May. Upon your next
normal license renewal, you will receive a
permanent plastic pocket license.
While waiting to receive your new
license, you may retrieve your new license
number as of April 24, by visiting http://www.sircon.com/oklahoma.
Simply click on the option "Find your
License Number" and fill out the
requested information. Your new license
number along with associated information
will be displayed.
Additional information is available the
Oklahoma Insurance Department's by calling
us at 1-800-522-0071 or (405) 521-3916.
It is advisable that new Oklahoma
resident licensees not submit non-resident
licensing applications until the fresh load
to PDB is complete and gateway processing
resumes on Monday, April 30, 2007.
Oklahoma effective dates on Appointments
and Terminations will continue to be the
date processed by the state. The last data
file will be sent to NIPR on April 12, 2007.
PDB daily updates will not be sent to the
NIPR PDB from April 12th through April 26th.
Please contact the state or NIPR at
customerservice@nipr.com with any questions.
